🟩 Moser Art Glass Jan Mares Cobalt Blue Base HIS MAJESTY 14 5/8" Vase - Signed

Description

Offering a Moser Karlsbad, Czech Republic, art glass 14 5/8" tall "His Majesty" vase designed by Jan Mares with dark blue ball base and panel cut conical body. Signed on the base with Moser's acid etch mark and etched with Jan Mares' signature. This appears to be a larger version of the His Majesty vase with a deep, dark blue base and clear body. Excellent condition, the only flaw found is a very tiny and insignificant light scratch on the side. Please see photographs as they are part of the description.

Mareš, Jan
(1953–2005) 1975–1981 Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, studio of S. Libenský. In 1981 he completed his thesis (an engraved object) using raw material from the Moser smelter.  In 1992
began co-operation with Moser glass works in Karlovy Vary, creating designs of engraved objects and cut glass.
External cooperation from 1993. He designs multi-coloured decorative glass and blocks with engraved decorations.
The diversity of the cooperation with Jan
Mareš is illustrated by his work in the 1990s
when he created objects with differing
shapes and colours that he assembled
and combined into groups. The resulting
spatial compositions opened up a number of
impressive vistas.
