Made by The Gong Bell Manufacturing Company of East Hampton, Connecticut, this is their patented "Voice Phone". I think this was always intended as a child’s toy, probably in the 1920s or 1930s, and this is almost the same size as “real” cradle phones of the era. It is in fair to good condition, showing age, wear, and minor nicks. The holder measures 5 7/8" by 3 7/8" and the receiver cradle is 3" high. The receiver itself is 8 1/8" long and each end is 2 1/4" in diameter. The toy weighs about 1 pound.
