    Good morning, today we have a 1930s MERCHANT ADVERTISING BOWL from WINKLER MANITOBA CANADA up for sale.
    It is from J B DYCK & SON - GENERAL MERCHANT - WINKLER MANITOBA.
    If you are familiar with Winkler area history, you will know about the J B DYCK - GENERAL STORE located on the East side of Main Street.
    The bowl measures 9 inches in dia, and stands 3 inches tall. It is finished in a GREEN LUSTRE FINISH with the advertising and a FLOWER GRAPHIC. The logo in an OLD GERMAN SCRIPT type of lettering.
    The logo reads:
    WITH COMPLIMENTS OF
    J. B DYCK & SON
    WINKLER MAN.
    The unique thing about this plate is that it given out in 1930s during WW2 when most things were rationed.
    This bowl appears to have never been used. It does not have any chips, cracks or age crazing - the graphics are bright and clear. The lustre has a small imperfection, which was there when it left the factory. These were not high quality items when they were made, and were designed to be given away similar to depression glass.
    The bowl has probably been in storage the last 70 years.
    Unfortunately we are located in Canada and delivery may take longer than if it was mailed from a US address - Delivery is usually 7 to 10 business days.

    As you can probably tell, from the quality of my pictures, I do not make my living as a professional photographer. I find it very difficult to take pictures of shiny objects such as this. The bowl looks much nicer than the pictures dictate. You will not be disappointed.
