VINTAGE 1920 CALENDAR PLATE WWI PEACE TREATY DIXIE FURNITURE SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

Description

This is a vintage give-away or "premium" plate, made in 1920. It celebrates PEACE, shortly after World War I. The center pictures the globe, and the flags of the United States, France, England and Italy. It reads: "THE GREAT WORLD WAR...1914-1919...PEACE...28th JUNE 1919." (June 28th was the date that Germany signed the Treat Of Versailles.) At the top of the plate, it is marked, "1920" and the various calendar months are printed around the edges. At the bottom, the plate is marked: "COMPLIMENTS OF DIXIE FURNITURE CO., SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS." In small print, the underside is marked: "K.T.&K. S---V...CHINA S.D.F." The plate measures just under 9 inches wide. The condition is VERY GOOD. There are no chips or cracks. The various decals are nice, with only minor wear. This plate is guaranteed to be old & original - made almost 100 years ago - or your money back.
