Item Description
Val Zeitler is well known in the doll world but a lot of people don't know that she started her doll career doing these amazing humorous out of this world soft sculpture dolls, dressed and hand painted by her.  This doll is from 2005 and was obtained by a doll shop at a toy fair where Val was set up.  I purchased this and the other which is in another listing from the doll shop that purchased her.
This one has a hang tag that shows her name, Twinkle Fairy, and her edition #2 of 10.  Since these are completely hand done I'm sure no 2 are exactly alike so in a way they were one of a kind.  But the style was an edition of 10 although the shop owner was not sure if Val ever made the entire run since Val branched out in other directions.
This is not a doll you are going to play with and SHE DOES NOT SIT DOWN!  Her doll stand is built inside her and she is meant to stay on the stand and be displayed that way especially so her ballet style twinkle toes can show as intended.
This kind of artist doll caters to collectors and especially those who know Val and love her sense of style and humor, this is something amazing to add to your collection.
She is 29" tall and is fun to display at many angles.  Her hair protrusion can be displayed different ways - standing completely up or closer to her face.  I did a couple of hair poses in my photos.  But she did not fit in my photo tent so please excuse the photos- I put her in the best place I could to have a solid background.
Because she does not sit this has to get shipped in a very long box which by shipping standards is considered oversized.  So please understand the higher shipping cost.
Never played with or displayed (other than in the doll shop).
She will come to you insured with signature required.
