    FYI:
    The 7505 grt steamship
    Ariadne
    was originally Swedish Lloyd’s
    Patricia
    .
Built by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson, Newcastle, England in 1951.

and was operated by Atlantic Cruise Lines Inc., Miami.
In May 1961 she was sold to Ariadne Shipping CO Ltd, Nassau, Bahamas,
a subsidiary of Eastern Steamship Corp. and chartered to Caribbean Cruise Line.
Lead by different CEOs, Eastern ran the ship from 1961-1969.
A man named Fraser owned the line so the funnel sported an "F",
in 1962, Lovett bought the company, re-marking the funnel with an "L".
In 1969 the vessel was sold to Ares Shipping Corp. In 1972 sold to Minos Navigation Co Ltd, Monrovia.
In May 1973 she was sold to Bon Vivant Cruises Inc,

From 1976 she moved to various ports with good intentions but resulted in her lay-up.
    In 1989 she was renamed
    Empress Katerina
    and again moved for lay-up.
In December 1997 she was renamed
    Empress 65
for her voyage to the scrap yard at Alang, India.
