Sony BOODO KHAN Body System BBS-10 Walkman Dolby Rare OEM Japan Works 1 of 300. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Come with seat back subwoofer, amplifier, proprietary connector cable, and 3.5mm to RCA cable. All you need are a pair of headphones and your music player of choice.
Original headphones are not included.
The BBS-10 is unusual and rarely seen system consisting of headphones and seat-back sub-woofer, along with an amplifier specially designed to drive them.
Clearly this was not intended to be a portable system, the amplifier took its power from the mains and the sub-woofer had to be experienced while seated in a reasonably sturdy chair. The idea behind this was that the listener would not only hear the lower frequencies, but feel them too.
The BBS-10’s purpose was apparently as a sales tool to help sell the DD-100 by showing, amongst other things, the advantage of DOL (Dynamic Optimum Loudness).
From my research I believe less than 300 of these Sony BBS-10 systems were sold worldwide. Making this probably the RAREST COLLECTABLE in WALKMAN HISTORY.
