    Description

ONE set of TWO flat belts, used in AIWA dual capstan cassette deck drives
Belt A (from motor to capstan) - generic one
Belt B (inter-capstan) - developed and produced specially for this version of sensitive drive
These cassette decks are extremely sensitive to quality of Belt B. I was asked to custom produce this belt because there is currently no quality alternative on the market. Belt quality and correct belt material properties are critical for keeping low wow/flutter. I tested four different materials with four different properties each. In total, 16 different combinations were tried to find the best belt suitable for this sensitive mechanics. Belt dimensions are exactly the same as original, 0.4 mm thick flat belt. Belt A is generic belt of good quality.
Products are custom made professionally using injection molding, compression molding, CNC processing, etc. Selected material is of very good quality.
PLEASE, read description and FAQ section before you send me the message or question.
I get tens of messages every day and now it is not manageable for me to answer them all.
However, if you have any question related to your, order, quality, shipping, feel free to ask.
Does your walkman have lot of wow and flutter, does it play faster and unstable, does it eat tapes?
Then it is time to check the pinch rollers. If they contain patterns from capstan, if the rubber is too old or too soft, if it has small cracks or if it has barrel shape, then it is necessary to replace the pinch roller.
However, this pinch roller of correct dimensions and correct rubber hardness is unobtainable. I had to solve this problem. That's why I decided to try their production.
This is price for ONE piece only. This is full roller, i.e.  rubber part and plastic core together
You can replace the original roller 1:1. Please, see the images, this is real photo
    About the price:
They're made in small amounts, the price per piece is high. Please, do not contact me for price reduction. This is the real price, that I had to pay for.

    FAQ section
Q: After I replace the belt, what else should I do?
A: You should at least set correct tape speed. Please go to http://www.ebay.com/itm/Speed-calibration-test-tape-for-cassette-deck-or-walkman-3000-Hz-/132264659421 for more details. For perfect results, you should also do cleanup, lubrications and other tasks.
Q: Walkman runs too slow or too fast, even after I replaced the belt.
A: This is not belt issue. This is old device and speed has to be re-adjusted. Please, see the previous answer
    Q: I can hear lot of wow/flutter
A: There can be many reasons for it.  Most often it is worn pinch roller, dirt in the belt path, dirty or dry moving parts of walkman, polished capstan, dry capstan bearings, wrong belt size or quality, etc.
Q: Do you also fix walkmans?
A: Yes, I’ve fixed many of them.  Usually for my friends and for me. I have about 400 of them. Sometimes I also fix walkmans  for eBay members but I'm very busy.
Q: I need advice regarding fixing walkmans
A: I am very glad to help. Unfortunately, I get so many question, that I'm not able to answer them all. Pl
ease visit tapeheads.net or stereo2go.com sites and ask experienced members, there. Answers are then available for everyone. I also contribute there.
Q: Do you also sell walkmans?
A: Not now, may be one day...
Q: What is the correct belt path routing?
A: Google search your walkman model and display result as images. Usually you will find photo of mechanics. If not, make your photo and send it to the forums mentioned above. I will try to help.
Q: My model is not listed, do you have belt, pinch roller or idler for it?
A: If it is not listed, it means that I do not have information about the size. In  case of the belt, please measure the belt length. Stretch a piece of string along the belt path and measure the belt circumference. Send the measures to me. From this I can measure the original belt size. In case of pinch roller, send me the outer diameter, rubber height, hub height and hole diameter.
Q: What belts do you sell?
A: I sell only hard-to-get belts used in later walkman models. Thicker belts used in early models should be available elsewhere.
Q: After I hit play button, I can hear only slight motor noise and then it stops. Is it belt issue, or is it something else?
A: Yes, it is very probably the belt issue.
Q: How long do belts usually last?
A: Usually about 20 years. It depends on the amount of additives added during vulcanization process. I tried to avoid using too much additives for increasing the material elasticity, so I hope the belt will last longer. But who knows...
