    Description

    In the Original Box Rare Sony Walkman Innterquest IQ~1 WM-A12.
    This is a very rare walkman made by Sony.  The unit powered up.  It has a Atari 9V Power Supply which I do not believe was the original power supply for this walkman.  However, it uses the correct voltage and works.  That said, the walkman powered up and was able to reverse and forward without a tape.  Play wasn't an option until someone places a tape in it.  I finally found a cassette tape to test it.  The walkman powered up and the reverse, forward, and even the play would not function.  I suspect that when I placed the cassette tape in there the belt gave way.  I am guessing since I did have the forward and reverse working at one time, that this walkman will need to be opened, cleaned out, and the belt replaced.  I was unable to test the eyepiece without the cassette playing.  One of the temples (arms) on the glasses is broken (see photos).  The control buttons all seem to work properly.  I was able to change the PGM SEL (program select) and the digital display changed to various modes.   It comes in the original box with everything you see in the photos.
