    Original,
    Baggage Tag
    from
    Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's
    ms
    Song Of America
    (1982-1999)
Official issued luggage tag with original string, circa
    1990
    , measures 3 1/2" x 4".
Back side is for address and particulars.
    Unused,
    Very Good
    to
    Excellent
    condition.
    FYI:
    The 37,584 grt
    Song of America
was built in Finland for RCCL
and debuted at Miami on December 5, 1982.
    She
was larger than her running mates (Song of Norway, Nordic Prince,
and Sun Viking), and pioneered a layout where cabin decks
were stacked at the front of the ship, furthest from the engines,
with public rooms further aft. Although common on large car ferries,
this layout has not been repeated much on cruise ships.
    The trademark
    Sky Lounge
    was even more prominent
than before, completely encircling the funnel. She was sold to Airtours (UK),
    becoming their
    Sunbird
in May 1999. Unlike previous RCCL sales to Airtours,
    the
    Sky Lounge
was not removed. In July 2004 the vessel was purchased
by Louis Cruise Lines. From May 2005 the ship was chartered by Thomson Cruises UK
    and operated as
    Thomson Destiny.
In May 2012 she was owned by Destiny Trading Opco, (Malta) and renamed
    Louis Olympia
    .
    In 2014 she became
    Celestyal Olympia
    for Celestyal Cruises
    (formerly
    Louis Cruises
    and
    Louis Cruise Lines
    )
    a Cyprus-based cruise line
that operates cruises from Cyprus, France, Italy, India and Greece
    .
