  • Condition: I sell antiques that were generally made well over 100 years ago by human hands. I try to find the best of the best. The best gilding and decorating, rare and interesting art glass, genuine work (no reproductions here folks!), pieces that will make you proud to display in your collection. Production techniques and quality control were not controlled by robots in modernized factories and as such may have normal production characteristics such as air bubbles, pits, embedded ash or other substances, etc. I generally try to call attention to anything major, so please review the description, and consider all photos as part of the description.     Ludwig Moser and Sons Art Nouveau Intaglio cut Wild Orchids Vase c.1900
    This wonderful
    flower vase or posey vase as their sometimes called was manufactured c.1900, at the Moser Glassworks in
    Karlovy Vary
    .   I've been collecting Moser and Harrach Art Nouveau Intaglio glass for almost 30 years now and this is the first time I've seen this shape, but make no doubt about it the Intaglio Art Nouveau flowers is pure Moser.   The clear glass body is shaded to amethyst at the base, and is formed from a mold.
    After it's molded, the sides are faceted and polished to jewelry quality precision, and then the vase is Intaglio cut with wonderful twining Art Nouveau flowers winding around the vase.
