    Description

    This milk can measures about 19 inches high and 13 inches wide at the base. The company LIFETIME was founded in 1909. I cannot date this particular can however I would assume considering the unique shape and overall condition that it was made in the early 1900's. The top plate is made of brass and the valve handle is  made of bronze. The can and all metal parts were cleaned and coated with lacquer or in the case of the bottom can was painted. This shows well as a decorator piece or as a significant addition to your collection. Although I have no knowledge as to the particular Dairy that utilized this can, the natural bumps, scratches and dents shows the long term use of the vessel.
