    Description

This listing is for a large antique Jewish Rosh Hashanah pop-up card from the 1890s. When folded closed the front reads in Hebrew & English "A Happy New Year". When opened up there is a man standing at a podium blowing the shofar. There are a book and 2 candles on the podium. There is a blue and white wagon with 4  colorful butterflies, 3 roses and 4 doves. in the background. The wagon is made of small blue flowers. This card is likely from Germany but it is not marked.
This card came from a collector of Judaica in Ohio that had a custom acrylic case made for this pop up card so that it could be displayed properly. The case measures 11 1/2" x 11 1/4" x 7 1/2". The case is in excellent condition.
When displayed open this card measures 8 3/4" tall x 10" across x 5 3/4" deep. This card is in wonderful condition for being a 120+ years old. The bottom support piece of paper has started to separate a little. On the back side of this pop up there is a small piece of paper that original help 2 of the pieces together. It has torn. I have noted both of these small flaws in the photos. This is a beautiful pop-up card.
