    Description

Flamenco Supper Club and its sister club Les Violins were among the most popular night clubs in the Miami area circa 1950-80. Both clubs offered Latin entertainment with many Cuban stars who found their first job in exile as a singing waiter or waitress. The entertainment included a Las Vegas-style review of singers, violinists, Flamence dancers and stage shows.
Flamenco Supper Club was located at 991 NE 79 Street and Les Violins was at 1751 Biscayne Blvd. Flamenco Supper Club was in existence into the early 1980s, as far as I can tell, while Les Violins was bombed by a tear gas canister in 1968.
This 9 ¾ inch plate was manufactured by Jackson China in 1973. Fantastic color scheme of bright blue with maroon stripes and Flamenco Supper Club and image of a dancer in white on the verge. Very striking pattern.
No chips or cracks. Near mint condition.
Would make a terrific addition to any Miami restaurant ware collection.
