This beautiful brand new instrument is made with intermediate grade paulownia soundboards.  The top and the
bottom of the sound boards are both made by paulownia that were dried using special Shanghai method that provides the classical sweet tone of the guzheng.  The frame is made by African Padauk with wood carving in the famous Duo Crane Facing the Sun design.  The characteristics of this guzheng has a sweet and bright tone.  The bridges are professional grade rosewood bridges.
This guzheng comes free finger picks, 1-7 spare strings, 2-piece stands, chromatic guzheng tuner, cleanaing brush, and a soft case.
We provide set-up instruction that's easy to follow.  Help on set-up and playing is also offered over the phone or
internet free of charge.
This guzheng is made by the famous Dunhuang factory, who produce 50% of the guzhengs in the market.  This model Duo Crane Facing the Sun is the best selling guzheng model in the history, far surpass any other models.  In 2009, the 400,000th Duo Crane has been sold.

Guzheng Size Reference:
Under 100cm(<40") : Toy replica
Please be aware that anything under 100cm is generally not playable!!!  There is no volume.  All strings sound flat, and the strings spacing are really small for your fingers.  It's more of a novelty item than an actually instrument.
100cm -125cm (40-49") :  Baby Guzheng
This is is made for kids who have smaller hands.  The sound is ok.  The bass is flat because the bass strings don't have the desired length to keep the pitch steady.  The string spacing is small for an adult, but perfect for
4-6 year old
kids to start learning.
125cm-155cm (50-61") :  Travel Guzheng
This size is made for convenient travelling.  The sound varys from different makers.  A good one can sound as good as a standard size, but a bad one sounds just like a baby guzheng.  The string spacing also varys.  Some makers make them smaller, and some makers make them just like the standard ones.
160cm+ (>61") :  Standard Guzheng
This is the standard size for guzheng.  All the strings have the desired lengh to keep the pitch in tune.  String spacing is standard for adult's figners.  Sound quality varys on different models and different makers.
