Description
Antique colllectible for many reasons: First of all, it is a Tirchenreuth portrait plate. The copyrighted artwork on the front is a Victorian lady by A Gunn 1908. Secondly, it seems to be a giveaway at a banquet for a Ladies Auxilliary of a union at the Norwood Assembly plant in Norwood, Ohio. This date preceeds the plant assembling General Motors cars. I don't know what AOMP stands for. Thirdly, I'm thinking that Thomas Maddock's Sons Co in Trenton NJ printed the backside of the plate as they were porcelain manufacturers but the plate is marked Tirchenreuth - Bavaria. There's a nominal amout of gold wear in the bands around the plate but there are no chips or cracks. It is such a beauty!! Ask as many questions as you like as I cannot accept returns. Thanks for looking!
