Beautiful
porcelain dog figurine
of neatly clipped
Black Poodle
. It is made from an old mold probably dating back to the 1970s-'80s, handed down from the former manufacturer.
Size (approx):
7 3/4" (19.5 cm) long
6 3/4" (17 cm) tall
to the top of the head.
Condition: New
There is a sticker on the belly that reads, "Seto-yaki"(瀬戸焼).  'Seto-yaki' is a general term for porcelain products made in Seto Japan, which include all kinds of porcelain items; such as animal, human, Disney and more figurines, and crockery as well. "Seto" is a city located in the center of Japan, and is also the center for Japan's ceramics industry.
There are four different colors of Poodle figurines available in my store, including
White, Apricot and Silver.

Those manufacturers now no longer exist. However, some of their casting molds have been passed down and some dog breeds are still made in a small way in a small factory run by a husband and wife team, where this Poodle figurine is also made.
