This auction is for a Sandwich Lacy Toy Flint Glass Tureen and Tray, c. 1835-1850. This is a wonderful antique child's toy that is rare as they were played with by children and most were broken long ago. The glass has a fan and lily pattern in flint glass. The toy glass tureen is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Witch Balls, Containers and Toys" by Barlow and Kaiser, #3347; where a covered tureen and under tray in clear glass booked for 0 back in 1987. I offer the tureen with cover and undertray with no reserve and a Buy It Now, at far less than this rare toy's actual value. DIMENSIONS: The tureen is 1 7/8" H. (covered) 1 1/4" H. (uncovered) x 1 13/16" W. x 3" L.. The tray is 5/16" H. x 1 7/8" W. x 2 5/8" L.. CONDITION: The overall condition is very good with the expected wear to this toy glass tureen. The base has some small chips and nicks to the edges. Small chips and nicks to the edge of the lid. The tray has a chip to one corner, and some nicks.
