This listing is for a lovely antique Moser or Meyr's Neffe Art Glass small compote decorated with elaborate enamel semi-nude ladies and gilt cherubs and filigree.
This pretty compote or candy dish is elaborately decorated with gilt filigree designs including cherubs holding swags between the gilded areas that form a medallion on each side that is decorated with semi-nude ladies with flowers and love birds. The outer rim is decorated with a gilt filigree design with more gilt decoration around the top of the base. The pedestal of the compote is a round ball knob.
This compote is decorated with gilt-enamel similar to that done by both Moser in the late 1800's and Meyr's Neffe in the first quarter of the 20th Century.
Measures 2" high with a top diameter of 4 1/2" and base diameter just under 3". Weighs 4 ounces.
This lovely compote is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are a couple of small areas with minor wear to the gilding but this is very insignificant and barely noticed.
