Description
3-Axis Accelerometer Board, ADXL345, ±2/4/8/16g, 3V3 (Accel SPI)MIKROE-473
ADXL345 three-axis accelerometer
Ultra-low power consumption: 40 µA in measurement mode and 0.1 µA in standby mode
Tap/double-tap detection
SPI or I2C communication
Embedded FIFO technology minimizes host processor load
The Accel SPI Board features an ADXL345 three-axis acceleration measurement device with selectable measurement range of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, or ±16g. It measures both dynamic acceleration, resulting from motion or shock, and static acceleration such as gravity. This allows the device to be used as a tilt sensor. Digital output data are formatted as 16-bit Twos Complement and are accessible through SPI communication interface. The ADXL345 is suitable for mobile device applications. Its high resolution
(4 mg/LSB)
enables measurement of inclination changes less than 1.0°.
Note:
This board uses 3.3V power supply only. Be sure to use voltage translators on communication lines when connecting it to 5V systems.
