Description
Made in the Good Ol` U.S of A.Uses of the HEATUBE
Electrical Enclosures
;
To reduce or eliminate the premature failure of electrical equipment due to condensation, damp conditions, high humidity, or even normal humidity such as Dairy Facilities, Basements, Equipment located outdoors, and anywhere moisture is a problem. Installation of a HEATUBE will help eliminate shocks from Breaker Switches and Ungrounded Toggle Switch Handles.
Electronic Equipment
;
Where Low ambient temperatures are encountered, such as outdoors in northern latitudes, the Low end operating range of such equipment can be effectively extended. The gentle but steady heat provided by a HEATUBE is particularly well suited for such applications.
SAFETY;
Safe even in Direct Continuous Contact with Wire Insulation Rating of 60 C in 40 C (104 F) Ambient.
COMPOSITION;
90 C PVC casing, Very Fire Retardant (VFR) Matrix (UL 94 HB, 94 V1, 94 V2, 94 V0), 105 C 16 AWG Leads.

Generally the largest HEATUBE that fits in a non-gasketed enclosure is acceptable. In exceptional cases, such as Freestall Barns, Animal Holding and Confinement areas, or severe moisture problem areas, more than one HEATUBE can be installed in an enclosure. Nema 3R enclosures need as much wattage as Nema 1. Gasketed enclosures need less
wattage.
Because of the wide variations in environmental conditions, the different types of enclosures used, and the unlimited potential uses of the HEATUBE, the volume to wattage table above is a general guideline only. The installers experience and judgment must be used in any particular application. The installer must keep in mind that this is a heating appliance and that the rating of the electrical materials it is installed with is based on temperature. The use of this Low wattage panel heater is not to provide a great deal of heat, rather it’s intended use is to be a steady source of Low heat that comes into play when the protected equipment is subject to Damp, Humid or Low temperature conditions and is than susceptible to internal condensation.
Easily Identifiable without a Label.
Wattage by Size, Voltage by Wire Color.
120 volt Black & White.
208 volt Brown & Red.
240 volt Black & Red.
277 volt Red & White.
480 volt Red & Red.
24 volt Brown & Brown.
The Conduit Hanger that comes with the HEATUBE makes a neat installation and allows air to circulate around.
Laying the HEATUBE on the bottom or standing it up inside of an enclosure is also effective.
Multiple small or medium wattage HEATUBE’S will be more reliable and cost effective than a single 50 watt HEATUBE.
Standard HEATUBE’S come with 18” wire leads. These are the most reliable units we have.
Also available are HEATUBE’S with an 8’ cord, making them completely submersible, Ideal for cattle water fountains and riser pipes.
Always supply power with a GFCI Breaker or Receptacle when HEATUBE is in or near Liquids.
