    Description

    This is a pair of commemorative plates issued to Maryland Governor McKeldin while attending a Conference most likely in Virginia in1953.  The colors of the plate
    are identical to the colors of the 1953 Virginia license plates -- the only year those colors were used. The plates were obtained at Governor McKeldin's estate auction, as noted on the back of both plates. The plates are excellent condition -- see photos for details.
    BOTH OF THE PLATES EXPIRED MORE THAN 3 YEARS AGO.
    I will combine items from multiple auctions to save shipping costs for buyer.
