Colorful and unusually well-detailed 9” calendar plate, with a scalloped rim, embossed beads on the edge, and bright graphics. Around the outside, a colorful vignette for each of the four seasons, each surrounded by flowers or greenery appropriate to that season. In gold in the center, “Farmers Merc. Co. / Madison, Nebr. / 1910.” Signed “Homer Laughlin / Hudson.” Very good condition. Allover (unavoidable) glaze crazing, and a couple light, thin rubs on the front; no chips, cracks, stains, or loss of advertising or exceptional graphics.

Postcards and paper items are packed in poly sleeves with corrugated cardboard and sent in a padded mailer, for which USPS charges First Class parcel rate. This is new: First Class postage now varies with distance.
There is now very little difference between the rates for Priority and Retail Ground; it’s less than 10%. Since Priority Mail includes insurance up to .00, I have decided to send everything over 14 oz. by Priority. The exceptions are oversized boxes (Retail Ground) and books (Media Mail).
