12.5” Reproduction Schmidt on a Jointed Straight Wrist Body LOOK!

Description

This is a fabulous vintage reproduction bisque head doll, with a face modeled after the highly desirable closed-mouth Schmidt. She is all dressed up in a cute pink vintage dress and white sun hat.
She has a bisque socket head with dark blue set eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered light brown brows, a closed mouth with delicately painted lips, and pierced ears. She stands at 12.5” tall on her jointed wood body with straight wrists and a slender torso, and wears a soft blond mohair wig.
She wears a sweet vintage pink cotton dress, which buttons diagonally up the front, and has pleats on the back of the skirt and a patch pocket on the left side. The dress is trimmed with white ribbon along the cuffs, collar, hems, and pocket with two white ribbon stripes above the pleating, and white lace along the collar, cuffs, hems, and bottom of the pocket. Underneath, she wears a set of white vintage undergarments- a full slip and short pantaloons, both with lace trim. On her feet are a pair of sheer beige stockings and tan flocked shoes. On her head is a white cotton hat with a wide brim and a pattern of dots and circles, and in her ears are a pair of earrings with tiny fuchsia glass beads. A gorgeous overall presentation!

CONDITION: Excellent. The bisque head is free of cracks, chips, hairlines, or restoration, and is of the quality typical of reproduction dolls. The glass eyes are aligned well in the head; they are sleep-type eyes, but they are not on a rocker and have been set. The modern body retains much of its original shiny finish, and is modeled well.
